Who is responsible

Serial and model numbers
The decoder runs entirely in your browser. The serial and model numbers you type are not sent to us or to anyone else, are not stored and cannot be seen by us. The page only downloads the rule data it needs, which is the same for every visitor.
Server logs
When you open a page, the hosting provider and the content delivery network that serve Age From Serial process technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type, to deliver the page and to protect the service against abuse. These logs are kept only as long as the providers need them for that purpose. We do not combine them with other data.
Analytics
We may use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool that does not set cookies and does not build personal profiles, to count page views and see which pages are used. It respects the Do Not Track setting of your browser. We do not use Google Analytics.
Advertising
Advertising is not active at the moment. If we enable Google AdSense in the future, visitors from regions where consent is required will first see a consent message from a consent management platform that Google approves for AdSense, and no advertising cookies will be set before a choice is made. This page will be updated before advertising starts.
Cookies
Without advertising, the site sets no cookies. The decoder does not use cookies or local storage.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we do not collect personal data ourselves beyond e-mails you send us, most requests will concern messages you have written to us; write to the address above and we will answer.
If you write to us, we use your address and message only to answer and keep the correspondence as long as needed for that.
Changes
We will update this policy when the way the site processes data changes; the date at the bottom of the page shows the last change.
